The Technology

MRE on the Go! is based on prudent, hypertext markup language (HTML) protocol designed for mobile devices. With Palm VII wireless Internet, cellular telephones, and pocket-sized computers that feature WWW access, it is becoming the latest rage. MRE will not be left out as Northwest Arkansas' premium Realtor®!

The HTML protocol is quite simple, actually. Five basic rules were followed for a palm-sized or hand-held device as follows:

1. Basic HTML tags were retained such as: BLOCKQUOTE, B (bolding), P (paragraphing), BR (line breaking), I (italicizing), CENTER (centering), images, and tables.
2. Frames were avoided. Most hand-held devices do not like framesand some humans don't eitherthat's why MRE's main web site is frame-free.
   
3. Imagemaps, Javascript, and Cascading Style Sheet were avoided. Mobile devices do not recognize these items.
   
4. Screens were kept small. Since mobile devices are small, screens should be too.
   
5. Graphics were designed for both color and monochrome.
